I just learned that Kia connect was only free for 3 years… is there an alternative?

The subscription costs are just ridiculous, I thought these were features from the car forever, didn’t think it was a trial.
The only thing I used was the remote start configured to turn on the heat (really useful in the winter), is there an alternative for that without the ridiculous subscription?

Should I get a Kia Carnival

Never had a Kia. Wife wants a carnival. What are your likes and dislikes? Normally I am a Toyota guy.
Top Comment: We just got a Carnival SXP, after having a Sienna Platinum. The Kia is so much more advanced it's not even funny. Considering it's cheaper than Toyota, and is actually available? No brainer.
